The four-day Dev Samaj Mahotsav, organised to commemorate the 175th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Dev Atma, concluded at the Dev Samaj Head Office, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh with a series of spiritual, social, educational and cultural activities.
The Mahotsav brought together members of Dev Samaj, students, educators, guests and well-wishers to reflect on the life, philosophy and teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma. A major highlight of the celebrations was the Mahasabha, which was addressed by Dr. Agneese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj, on the theme “New Directions of Spiritual Development and Bhagwan Dev Atma.”
In her address, Dr. Dhillon highlighted Bhagwan Dev Atma’s science-based spiritual philosophy and emphasized that Dev Samaj stands against superstition, outdated customs and harmful social practices. She spoke about the importance of truth, rational thinking, moral development and selfless living in building a better society.
The Mahotsav also included a blood donation camp organised in collaboration with PGIMER Chandigarh, during which 100 units of blood were collected. The camp reflected the spirit of service and humanitarian responsibility associated with the teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma.
Along with the spiritual sessions and social service initiatives, the celebrations featured bhajan programmes, musical presentations, quizzes, student performances and other cultural activities, creating an atmosphere of learning, reflection and community participation.
The conclusion of the Mahotsav reaffirmed Dev Samaj’s commitment to promoting spiritual development, ethical living, social reform and service to humanity. The 175th Birth Anniversary celebrations served as an opportunity to remember the vision of Bhagwan Dev Atma and inspire future generations to carry forward his message of progressive and responsible living.
