As part of the celebrations marking the 175th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Dev Atma, Dev Samaj organised a blood donation camp at the Dev Samaj Head Office, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh. The initiative combined the spirit of celebration with service to humanity and social responsibility.
The blood donation camp was organised in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh, and received an encouraging response from donors. A total of 100 units of blood were collected during the camp, making it one of the significant social service activities organised as part of the four-day Dev Samaj Mahotsav.
The camp was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Pandey, ADGP, Punjab Police. Several distinguished guests and medical professionals were present on the occasion, including Prof. Vipin Kaushal, Medical Superintendent, PGIMER Chandigarh; Dr. Sucheta Sandevia, Additional Professor, Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER Chandigarh; and Jaspal Bhullar, In-charge, District Crime Cell, Chandigarh Police.
The blood donation initiative reflected the values associated with the teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma, particularly compassion, selfless service and concern for the welfare of others. Through the participation of donors and the support of medical professionals, the event demonstrated how an important commemorative occasion can also contribute directly to the well-being of the community.
Along with the blood donation camp, the four-day Mahotsav featured various spiritual, social, educational and cultural activities commemorating the life, philosophy and teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma.
The successful collection of 100 units of blood added a meaningful humanitarian dimension to the 175th Birth Anniversary celebrations and reinforced Dev Samaj’s commitment to service and social welfare.
