DESCRIPTION:Mat Pita Santaan Divas was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Dev Samaj College of Education\, Sector 36-B\, Chandigarh. Dr.(Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon\, Principal \,of the college welcomed the chief guest Sh. B.L. Sharma\, Secretary\, Higher Education\,U.T. Administration\, Chandigarh. The Guest of Honour on the occassion was Mr.Rakesh Kumar Popli (PCS) Director Higher Education\, U.T.Administration\, Chandigarh. Shri Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon\, Secretary\, Dev Samaj\, emphasized on the unconditional love and care of parents which cannot be at par with any other relation in this universe. \nThe function started with college prayer “Bhala Chahna” presented by students of the college followed by Bhav Parkash by Dr.(Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon\, Principal of the college in which she said that we should sincerely acknowledge the efforts of our parents and always be respectful towards them. The students of the college- Romilla\, Neha\, Komal\, Durga\, Varsha\, Manpreet\, Kamra\, Shalu\, Rakhee and Natasha also expressed their heartfelt feelings towards their parents. A skit was played by the students of the college on the theme. Sh. B.L. Sharma shared his emotional moments with his mother and also appreciated the efforts and about the vision & mission of the college. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Popli spoke about the role of parents in instilling moral values among children. The function concluded with the unique ceremony of garlanding the parents by the students.
